Handmade Wooden Tea Light Holders
Small in scale, but rich in material and detail.
Each Blackburl tea light holder is shaped by hand from premium hardwoods, exotic woods, burls and recycled skateboard veneers. Designed to bring warmth, texture and quiet character into a space, every piece is made individually in Fernie, British Columbia.
Layers of walnut, purpleheart, and reclaimed skateboard maple are shaped into a substantial, sculptural form. Horizontal bands of walnut pass through the composition, interrupting the colourful skateboard layers and giving the piece a sense of structure and depth.
The rich purpleheart base anchors the piece, while carefully placed sections of reclaimed skateboard create moments of colour that shift as the holder is viewed from different angles. Larger and more intricate than the other tea light holders in the collection, Kasane has a stronger physical presence and a more complex construction.
Designed as a functional object with the character of a small sculpture, each piece is shaped, finished, and assembled by hand. Natural variations in the wood and reclaimed skateboard material ensure that no two pieces can ever be exactly alike.

One-of-One Tea Light Holder
A quiet form shaped by natural grain and a continuous movement of colour.
The Nagare is hand-turned from ambrosia maple and Canadian hard maple, joined with reclaimed skateboard veneer that flows vertically through the form. Layers of dyed maple rise from the base and wrap over the rim, appearing differently as the piece is viewed from each angle.
The restrained hourglass profile allows the natural wood to remain dominant, while the reclaimed veneer creates a single uninterrupted gesture of colour and movement.
