The Traverse is inspired by movement across the landscape—intersecting routes, shifting contours, and the quiet rhythm created where natural forms meet. Rich padauk sweeps across the composition, contrasted by the warmth of maple, mahogany, and walnut. Flowing lines of reclaimed skateboard veneer travel through the piece, converging and separating as they trace their own paths across the surface.
Every curve is individually cut and assembled by hand, bringing together contrasting hardwoods and reclaimed materials in a composition that feels deliberate yet naturally evolving. The result is a serving board that is sculptural as much as functional—designed to reveal new details the longer it is observed.
Variations in grain, colour, and figure are preserved as part of the design, ensuring that no two pieces will ever be identical.
