The Ritual is a one-of-one safety razor handcrafted from highly figured maple burl and turquoise swirl resin. Natural voids, dense burl figure, and irregular grain move throughout the handle, while dark turquoise resin fills and follows the openings within the wood, creating shifting areas of colour and depth across the surface.
The combination of burl and resin gives the piece an organic, almost geological character. Areas of exposed figure transition into dark mineral-like inclusions, allowing the natural structure of the maple burl to remain the defining feature rather than covering or competing with it.
Designed as a functional object for everyday use, the handle is individually turned, shaped, sanded, and finished by hand before being paired with polished chrome safety razor hardware. The sculpted profile provides a comfortable grip while allowing the character of the material to remain visible from every angle.
